Site Information & Accommodations

The event will take place at Kampeerboerderij ‘Ons Thuis’, at Oostappensedijk 32, Ommel, The Netherlands

The site’s website is available at https://www.onsthuis.nl, with many photos and Google walkthroughs of the site.

A video tour of the grounds is available at https://youtu.be/p4A5u7tw10c

The site has 3 dorm rooms with a total of 90 beds, 4 smaller bedrooms with a total of 11 beds, plus crash space and camping space.   The site does not provide bedding, so you will need to bring a bottom/fitted sheet, a pillow and pillowcase, and a blanket/duvet (or sleeping bag- please note a fitted sheet is still required with a sleeping bag.)

We will not be able to offer loaner bedding or loaner feast gear, so if you need this please ask fellow attendees if they can assist with this.

As there are many beds in each dorm room, we strongly recommend bringing earplugs and an eye mask if you are worried about disturbance from noise or light.

Sleeping Accommodation can be viewed here:  http://onsthuis.nl/slaapgelegenheden/

The site also has a large hall downstairs, a playground area outside for children, and plenty of outdoor space.

The hall is viewable here:  http://onsthuis.nl/verblijfsruimte/

Please note dogs (excluding guide dogs) or any other animals are not allowed on site.

Food & Beverage Shopping

The town of Asten, 4 km from site, has several grocery options, including an Aldi, a Lidl, and an Albert Heijn.  Beer and wine may be purchased at any of these, though you will need to go to Gall & Gall for spirits/liquors.  Please note many stores in The Netherlands do not accept credit cards, so please ensure you have cash or your debit card has a Maestro or V Pay logo.  Exceptions are stores in high tourist areas such as Schiphol and Amsterdam, so if you have flown in and are traveling to site by train, it is worth doing your shopping at Schiphol/in Amsterdam if you must pay by credit card.

Accessibility

The site is  moderately accessible, with all activity areas and most beds downstairs.  In addition the site is on flat ground, with all activity areas close together, and bottom bunks will be reserved on request for any who require them.  The main hall has doublewide doors that can be opened for ease of wheelchair use, and it is possible for a wheelchair to be very close to the tourney field as the paved area extends close to the field.  Maneuvering a wheelchair in the sleeping halls might present some difficulties however- if you use a wheelchair please contact us and we can see which of the sleeping options would suit you best.

If you have other accessibility needs that are not addressed here please contact us at dwoctcrown (at) gmail.com and we will be happy to assist you as best we can.
